A deposit of one half of the total amount of the stay is due upon reserving. A one night stay must be paid in full. The hotel must have a signature on an authorization fax before confirming. For guests staying in the gardien a deposit of one half of the total amount is taken and kept as a security deposit. If the cottage is left in good condition then the deposit is deducted from the total bill. This hotel does not accept AMEX or Diners, only Visa and Mastercard.
This very pretty hotel is located at Amboise in the heart of the chateau country, with Chenonceau, Chambord, Azay le Rideau, Cheverny, Valencay, Blois and Villandry all within easy driving distance. You can also follow the fascinating wine route where the sparkling whites of Vouvray and Montlouis and the fruity reds of St. Nicholas Bourgueil and Chinon await you. Amboise is a very strollable village and in the summer is home to firework displays, music festivals and hot-air balloon rides. The charming owners of this small hotel are English-speaking and can advise you on the activities in the area and restaurants to visit. In the garden there is also La Maison de Gardien, a perfectly restored 17th century house which will accommodate four (there is a 3 night minimum stay here) . Rates include breakfast and wine tasting. Amboise is well worth spending a few days exploring.

Superior inn in perfect location; great hospitality and recommendations for restaurants and directions to nearby sites. Would recommend and stay again if we return to the Loire Valley.

Our stay was wonderful. Our hosts Bob and Gloria were full of information in regards to the area. Their knowledge of French history really made our stay more spectacular. The guest house we stayed in was immaculate and the grounds were stunning.

Setting and Inn were excellent as was the quality of the breakfast provided. However, the innkeeper, Gloria, became argumentative when she errored and instead blamed us for an obvious mistake she had made.
