CASH ONLY IS ACCEPTED. Set in parklands at the edge of a small village in the Poitou Charente region, this recently restored 15th century chateau, has five guest rooms and a cottage. The English-speaking owners have created a very pleasant ambience and there are many distractions: an indoor swimming pool, well equipped gym, sauna, croquet, tennis court, badminton, table tennis and bikes for exploring the surrounding countryside. There are two rooms with a double bed and a single bed (suitable for a family of three), a family room with a double bed and two single beds (suitable for a family of four) and two double rooms - all with complete private bathrooms. The rooms are simply decorated but spacious and bright. There is also a large lounge with open log fireplace and a fully-stocked bar. The owners can help you plan birthday party get-togethers, wedding buffets, romantic honeymoon - just ask. At the Chateau you may dine either Table D’Hote or from an A La carte menu - the dining room has an excellent reputation. The cuisine uses fresh regional produce, often from the chateau's garden, and an extensive winelist is available. The cottage is available by the week. This is a no-smoking property. Please note that you must pay your final bill in cash - credit cards not accepted.

Notes Fishing, horseriding and golf nearby. Holistic Therapy treatments are also available. A qualified therapist provides Reflexology and Aromatherapy. Pre booking is advisable for these popular treatments. There is Dressage tuition available to P.S.G level by the resident British trainer. Indoors exercise area, for experience riders only. Closest airports are Poitiers (45 minutes), La Rochelle (90 minutes, Bordeaux (105 minutes.) Closest rail station Ruffec at 20 minutes.

The deposit is retained if cancellation is received within 8 weeks of reservation date. The deposit will be returned if cancelled more than 8 weeks prior to reservation date. If cancelled less than 7 days prior to reservation, full amount of reservation is payable. No show, full amount of stay is payable.
