With just three rooms and two suites, this chateau and wine estate in the foothills of Beaujolais is a most relaxing place to stay. On 25 hectares, with spectacular gardens and a winery, it is a fascinating place. The guest rooms include the honeymoon suite which has a four poster bed and the best views of the garden (and a big cast iron bath). Room Beaujolais Bleue has a king sized bed and the walls are covered in blue fabric - and with a full bathroom of course. The East and West suites, perfect for families, have either an adjoining sitting room with a lit bateau, or an area for an extra bed. The beautiful and historic gardens at Longsard were laid out in 1792 and have been only slightly modified over the years. Exit the courtyard by the east gate and, if the doors of the old winery are open, you may still see the old oak casks one of which has the date of manufacture of 1824 engraved on its side. This is chambred'hote style accommodation. Dinner can be prepared for a minimum of eight people.

The suite is great for families as there are two rooms with space for up to 6 in total.

Meal Information

A breakfast buffet is served from 8.00 to 11.30 in the main dining room. Dinner is prepared if organized in advance for a minimum of eight people. It is a 3 course traditional French meal with wine included for 38 Euros per person. In other cases, hosts will drive you to a nearby restaurant and restaurant will arrange for transportation back to the hotel.

Notes

This is a spectacular area with vineyards everywhere. A wine tour in this area is highly recommended.

If cancelled 8 days or less prior to arrival the hotel retains the total amount of the booking. From Oct 1st to April 30th if the reservation is cancellation 14 days or less prior to arrival the hotel will charge 50% of total amount.
