Avignon is a fascinating city and Lumani is within the rampart walls of the old town, a location that cannot be improved upon. This beautiful Provencale stone house from the nineteenth century, with its peaceful inner courtyard garden and fountain, is a little haven. It takes five minutes to walk to the Palais des Papes and to the Bridge of Avignon. The five rooms are all different and uniquely decorated. There a simplicity here that adds to the relaxing feel of the place - no television, no swimming pool, no minibar or jacuzzi -- just simple colours, good design, peace and quiet and incredibly gracious hosts. He is an architect and she an artist, and their aesthetic style is found throughout the house. The house is also unique in that it has a studio for visiting artists (or aspiring artists) and a studio where musicians may practice. The whole house (for fourteen people) is also rentable. Breakfast is different every day, and is delicious. Dinners in the garden can be arranged but you must request this in advance (approximately 25 euros per person). There are, of course, hundreds of restaurants and bistros in the old town - along with art galleries, cultural events, shopping and sightseeing. There is no private parking at Lumani, but you can park on the street outside the inn, or outside the rampart walls - just a few minutes walk away. This is a no-smoking inn.

Notes You can take a bus from the station station in Avignon to the old town for 1 euro, or a taxi for 15 euros. Closest airport Avignon (15 km) or Nimes (75 km). Marseilles international airport 90 km. All sorts of programs are offered by the hosts of this inn: cooking classes - including shopping in the surrounding markets. Art courses. Visits to architectural gems in the area. Checkin time 3 p.m. Checkout 12 noon.

Cancellation Policy:
The 30% deposit taken at the time of booking is non refundable. If the reservation is cancelled at any time the deposit is kept. This deposit can be applied to a future stay. A 15 euros administrative cancellation fee per room booked will be charged by Inns en Route Inc. on all reservations that are confirmed and then cancelled by the client.
