This hotel does not accept Amex. Hotel Tardif is located between the Bayeux Tapestry museum and the Cathedral. Enjoy a stay in a special chateau (this one was the biggest private mansions ever built in Bayeux center dating back to the 18th century). The Hotel Tardif has three main architectural style: Louis XV, Louis XVI and Empire and the garden was the first botanic garden in Bayeux. Master Moisson de Vaux left Versailles to settle here with the numerous species he brought back from distant lands. Each of the five guest rooms is different, with views over the park or the courtyard, and with different styles. Each has its own bathroom (shower, toilet, basin, hairdryer) and with single or double beds and there is also a family room. There is wireless internet in all rooms and a television in most. A private guide is available on request for roughly 30 euros extra per person. Note that this hotel does not have its own restaurant but there are many in the area. Parking can be arranged.
Meal Information
Breakfast served 7:30am to 10:00am. Closest restaurant for lunch or dinner is 20 metres from the hotel, and there are thirty restaurants in the vicinity.
Notes The Bayeux train station is 500 meters from the hotel. If you have many bags, you can get a taxi outside the station. Hotel welcomes guests from late afternoon to dinner time (5:00pm to 8:00pm). If you plan a late arrival, please tell us.Check out at 11:00am. If you wish, you can leave your bags there for few hours when you visit museums.
All rooms have stairs - this hotel is not suitable for those with mobility problems.

The location was excellent. We were touring the Normandy beaches and the hotel was a very short walk to our meeting location. Also, the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The shower was great - good water pressure and good size.
