Le Prieure at Chateau de Biron is a fifteenth century priory across from one of Southwest France's most beautiful chateaux. The outside wall of the building was the ancient medieval wall of the picturesque village of Biron. Inside, historical treasures abound and blend beautifully with the skilfully restored building. In Cardinal the gleaming mahogany fireplace is 500 years old and reaches the ceiling, the bathroom has a jacuzzi, original tiled floors and wooden shutters; the countryside panoramic views from the window are breathtaking. The effect - romantic, luxurious and warming. The other bedrooms are also beautiful, all have en-suite bathrooms, most have original fireplaces. The linens are of the finest quality; the decoration superb, with antiques complementing French décor. The lovely apartment comprises a charming double bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet and a sitting room/bedroom 2. There is a small newly fitted kitchen. The apartment has its own external entrance and can be hired on a weekly, self-catering basis or on a daily bed and breakfast basis.Tea and cafetiere coffee making facilities are provided in each room. European king or queen-size beds or twins are available. Each room is exceptionally large and has a sitting area. Some rooms have outside doors, as well as internal. Le Prieuré offers five-course meals from €25 per person (advanced reservation required), including local wine and coffee. If you prefer something even more luxurious, an excellent, profesional chef will come to Le Prieure and cook a superb, gourmet meal for you. Only available by prior arrangement for parties of six people or more. The Prieure is available for rent as an exclusive self-contained unit for ten people at 5040Es per week. There is a surcharge of 30 euros for a single night booking.
