This delightful small hotel with just twelve bright and airy rooms and two luxurious suites, was designed by Sabine and Hervé Dos Santos. With decor inspired by the region, the rooms, the restaurant and the lovely Andalusian patio and swimming pool make this a relaxing place to stay. The rooms are decorated in pale woods and rich tiles with pastel furnishings. In the Languedoc-Roussillon, this former poste relay station sat opposite the barrel ageing and tasting rooms of Château Cabezac. The owners imagined combining a stay in this beautifully renovated building with the enjoyment of wining and dining with the local produce. The Bastide is located in the heart of the vineyards in the Minervois region (the area is in a natural amphitheatre, with direct southern exposure, and is a mosaic of hills and terraces). This prestigious terroir, with its renowned wines, has a beautiful little fortified town of Roman origin. Caves, dolmens, Roman churches, and the Canal du Midi are among the many attractions.
