This delightful hotel within easy walking distance of the city centre of Bordeaux is friendly, convenient to many of the city's attractions, quiet and very relaxing. Bordeaux is a wonderful town, and the area itself is full of interesting places to visit. The beautiful 18th century buildings along the Garonne River and the very walkable city centre make this a great city in which to spend several days, without even thinking about your car (and the hotel does have its own parking - crucial in this busy spot). It also has hundreds of special restaurants, cafes and wine bars. The rooms at the Burdigala (the Roman name for Bordeaux) are classic yet contemporary, spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are luxurious. This was one of our favourite places to stay - and though it may be larger than our usual hotels, it retains an intimate and friendly atmosphere. Breakfasts are a feast and the restaurant "Le Jardin de Burdigala" offers you an excellent menu with an outstanding wine list. The staff will be delighted to help you with tours to the many surrounding winegrowing areas and vineyards, with restaurant reservations and with suggestions for making the most of this beautiful city.
