This sixteenth century castle is surrounded by woods, a private lake and streams, and has ten beautifully decorated bedrooms . Five of the bedrooms open onto the gardens and have individual terraces. The pavilion, the old "bread oven", with its vast mezzanine, is a perfect setting for family meals and wedding receptions. The charming English-speaking hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Langlet are passionate about the history of this lovingly-restored chateau and the surrounding area. Mme. Langlet's attention to detail provides a wonderfully romantic feeling with lit candles and a warm fire to welcome guests after a days outing. Dinner is served to guests in the candlelit dining room but you must order in advance. Half board options are available and a Soire Etape menu is a wonderful option. The dining room is open from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Activities include trout fishing in the lake, walking and hiking and visits to cultural sites in the region. You may also hire mountain bikes for local exploration. There is a jacuzzi and heated swimming pool (covered or open air) for relaxation frin mid April to mid-October.
