Awaiting 2012 prices from the hotel. Between Toulouse and Albi, at the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, is this fine château overlooking the valleys amidst the vines. A contemporary restoration of a thirteenth and fifteenth century chateau has produced a wonderfully unique and exciting place to stay. The first buildings date from the 13th Century and in November 1994, RogerPaul Le Net acquired the country house and the adjacent vineyards where he has created the hotel and restaurant. The ancient architecture and modern decor mix harmoniously to a surprising effect in this rural setting. The thirteen rooms and five suites are in the towers of the Chateau and they are quiet, spacious and delightful. They have private bathrooms (some have jacuzzi), telephone, television, internet connections and air conditioning. A spur of rock overhanging the vineyards is the location of the swimming pool and sometimes cocktails and barbecues are planned here. The restaurant is very special (recognized by Michelin, Gault Milleau and Le Bottin Gourmand). Regional cuisine prepared by an exceptional kitchen team is served in the dining room.
