Alain Ducasse has chosen the very heart of the French Basque Country to locate this exceptional property. Nestled among mauve hills near the Pyrenees mountains, this country inn celebrates nature and silence. The twenty two rooms are comfortable and are thoughtfully decorated (all with complete bathrooms). The final touch to this unique experience is a traditional Navarrian cuisine, based on the best local products. The Basque Country is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenées and this pastoral property has 120 acres of land leading to the Nive River. There are several buildings on the estate and the rooms are in five Basque villas: most of the accommodation is in the form of suites and duplex rooms, all of which are spacious and delightful. They are decorated in an eclectic style with contemporary furniture and antiques, some with fireplaces, and with wonderful textures in the fabrics and architectural features. The restaurant is wonderful and in the summer you can enjoy dinner on the terrace by the pool. Cooking classes are offered. There is also a fitness centre, complete with sauna and turkish bath, and a heated swimming pool on the property. The hotel is approximately forty-five minutes from Biarritz airport. Transfers can be arranged with prior notice, please ask us.
