One nights deposit is required upon booking. Half board options available (94 Euros per person + the price of the room). The restaurant at this hotel has just been awarded 2 Michelin Stars (March 09). We always knew the food was wonderful - and this is proof.

Located in the small village of Collias, just a short distance from the Pont du Gard, the hotel comprises several old village houses which surround a pretty courtyard. There are several terraces and patios and the swimming pool is surrounded by colourful gardens. The comfortable rooms, all with large ensuite bathrooms and some with balcony, are uniquely decorated and have a lovely old-world ambience. Two of the rooms (Artistic and Egyptian) have extraordinary decor - only for those who want something completely different. Artistic Room has a completely pebbled bathroom, including the bath. On March 2 2009 the restaurant was awarded its second Michelin star. The gastronomic restaurant is in a series of vaulted rooms and the excellent food and service cannot be faulted -- prices range from 30 to 107 euros. Lunch is also served (either in the restaurant or on the terrace) with two fixed menus at 20 euros or 30 euros. The Chef de Cuisine is M. Jerome Nutil and the Sommelier is Mr. Jean Luc Sauron. The restaurant is highly recommended. The helpful staff are multi-lingual and go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. There is free, secure parking very close to the hotel and there are many walks in the vicinity. There are also some guestrooms in a separate part of the hostellerie across the lane from the hotel (Maison du Barry), with a small garden, lounge and dining room on the ground floor. Check-in time 3 p.m. Check-out noon.

Meals are available all year long except Wednesday and Saturday lunch. Gastronomic: 30 to 107 Eu The restaurant is closed on Tue and Wed during Low Season and on Wed in High Season -except on hoidays.

Notes

Closest airport is at Nimes, 50 km. Closest railway stations at Avignon or Nimes (30 km.) Beaches at 40 km. There are some excellent walks from Collias to the Pont du Gard and in the surrounding countryside. The sign to the parking is at the entrance of the village (50 metres from the hotel). Kitchen courses from 8:30 to 12:30, reservation requested 70Eu per person.

“lack of any informal meal at lunch-time was a disadvantage in view of the lack of other options in the village. It would have been useful to be able to get a salad or a sandwich. Otherwise, elegant and excellent food and sevice and an exceptionally pretty room.”
