2 night min stay on weekends. A deposit is required upon booking. Note that some bookings require a mandatory dinner to be taken at the Chateau.
In a wooded eighteen hectare park with beautiful natural fountains, in the village of Etoges (situated on the road to Paris from Strasbourg) is the pretty Chateau d'Etoges. Just 22 km. from Epernay, the chateau was built in the 12th century, and changes were made in the 16th century. The castle has considerable historic significance as a stopover used by the Kings of France. In 1991 it opened as a small twenty-room hotel which now welcomes guests from around the world. The ensuite rooms are spacious and are furnished with antiques and art. Some of the rooms have four poster beds (and some have a mezzanine floor which make them suitable for families with children). The restaurant serves regional specialties. Enjoy breakfast in bed or sit on the pretty terrace and enjoy the landscape. Please note that in high season, dinner in the dining room may be compulsory with your reservation. There are also special packages including a gastronomic dinner and breakfasts. It is possible to row around the château in one of the hotel's row boats, or to fish in the château moat (although fishing equipment is not provided). There are also four bicycles, croquet equipment, a billiards table, a Ping-Pong table, a salon with a piano, and a playing card table. A Champagne tasting with a specialist of Oenology can be organized.

It was a lovely setting. The staff were very helpful discrete and polite. The food was excellent. The accommodation was of a high standard. We were able explore the wonderful champagne region with ease from this location and took a tour of the Moet Chandon/Dom Perignon Cellars which was about 1/2 hour drive from the Chateau.

We were given a premier room, but the bedding and other furnishings were very dated. The grounds were interesting but need more upkeep.
