Hotel-restaurant Les Cygnes is located directly on the edge of lake Leman with an incredible view of Switzerland and Jura – and is the only hotel in Evian with a private deck and beach. It is just eight hundred meters from Evian’s Spa, shops and fifty meters from the harbour. As well as the private beach, deck, terrace on the lake, garden, bar and comfortable lounges – there is also car parking available. The thirty eight rooms are simply decorated in bright colours and have full bathrooms and wifi access. Most of the rooms have a double bed for two or twin beds, but there are also a few family rooms for three or four. Many of the rooms have a small balcony. The restaurant serves good French cuisine under the guidance of chef Thomas Benard: many local specialities including fish from the lake and a good winelist (tasting menu at approximately 44 euros) are offered. A simpler restaurant, Le Bistro, on the road side of the Alps, offers a brasserie menu with appetizers and daily specials in Savoyard style. Transport can be arranged from the train station. This is a simple, friendly inn in a wonderful location, ideally situated for exploring Evian les Bains (or if you are having treatments at Evian) and the lake area. There is free public parking and also garage parking (extra charge).
