The residence of the Viguier, hidden in the heart of the medieval town, is in a perfectly tranquil location. Built in 1302 at the request of King Philippe IV, it is now a wonderful small hotel with twenty one elegant and luxurious rooms, all with full bathrooms--a gem of a small hotel. It has an old chapel, cloisters, a medieval secret garden, and the more modern facilities of a small swimming pool and a gourmet restaurant Le dinee du Viguier.A wonderfully peaceful place to stay with just the sounds of water and birds, it is also a good base from which to explore the town of Figeac and its art and history.
