From 14 September to 1st April, stay 3 nights and the fourth night is free. The pretty inn Le Clair de la Plume in the lovely old Provencal village of Grignan is perfectly located for exploring the castle, the village and the surrounding areas (with easy parking). The entrance is through the flower-filled courtyard and the fine old building now houses ten uniquely decorated guestrooms. The rooms have satellite television, minibar, air conditioning, direct dial telephone and are attractively decorated with comfortable furniture and interesting antiques. Breakfast is prepared and served in the oldest part of the house, a kitchen with vaulted ceiling, which is a legacy of the monks who founded the site; this is included in the price. There is no restaurant here, but many fine dining spots may be found in Grignan. The tearoom does serve a simple lunch available up to 6 pm (one specific menu item each day and includes pie of the day, grilled chicken, charcuteries, warm goat cheeses etc.) The tea room is a delight with an extensive selection of wines, champagnes, teas, coffees, chocolates, ice-cream and sorbets and an afternoon tea complete with lavender-honey icecream. There are no-smoking rooms at this inn and it has air conditioning and wifi access. Grignan is situated 70 km. from Avignon. This little hotel is a favourite with many of our clients and the enthusiastic staff (many of whom speak English) are particularly helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this inn and its helpful staff.
