Awaiting 2012 prices from the hotel. In the heart of the Basque village of Guethary and just steps away from a beach, is this 13th century house which is also a charming small hotel with just fourteen double rooms and two suites. Nestled between the sea and the last peaks of the Pyrenees, Guéthary is a pretty village with a seaport, a main square and its front where Basque pelota is played. The hotel is ideally situted in the centre of the village. The Villa's rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated in subtle neutral tones, all with their own modern bathrooms. The soundproofed rooms also have satellite television, directdial phone and minibar. There is a large terrace where you may relax in the sun or enjoy breakfast in the summer, and a swimming pool in the pleasant garden. There is no restaurant at the Villa Catarie but several in the area. This is a lovely village and is within easy reach of Biarrtiz and St. Jean de Luz. There are 18 hole golf courses within 20 km., and a surf school at 3 km. You will receive a friendly, warm welcome at Villa Catarie.
