A 30% deposit is required upon reserving. Hostellerie Berard and Spa is a cluster of houses tucked away in the village of La Cadiere d'Azur. There are forty simple but charming rooms located in various buildings including an 11th century monastery. Each room has its own personality and name -- Bleu Mediterranee, Van Gogh, Peche, Cezanne, Vert Provence -- many with lovely views of the Provencal hills. The walled garden has grown into a Provencal country house (Bastide) with heated pool set among the olive trees, sauna and gym. The main house is dedicated to eating, reception and relaxation, with a breathtaking view from the restaurant over the Bandol vineyards and countryside. The fourth house is the Maison des Peintres. The restaurant Rene & Jean-François Berard offers a superb, innovative cuisine based on the traditional flavours and fragrances of Provence and the Mediterranean using the finest local products. There is also The Little Garden restaurant - a casual bistro style restaurant with wonderful food. Cooking classes, wine appreciation classes, tour of 'dream' Mediterranean gardens and painting lessons are all available as special packages - ask us. The cooking classes are part of a five night package and are offered on specific dates except during August. This superb hotel has been featured in Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Cote Sud, Traveller Magazine and many other important travel and cooking publications. The spa is beautiful and features roman baths (500 sqm) with signature treatments + Carita & Decléor. There is a private parking lot at the entrance to the village and also covered parking is available 12 Eu.

Notes By train: Toulon 25 km., Bandol 8 km. St. Cyr sur Mer 6 km. By TGV from Paris: 3 hours to Marseilles. Closest airport Marseilles 60 km. The gourmet restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday (but the Little Garden restaurant is open on those days).
