This charming country inn is next to a 12th century royal Benedictine abbey — a place of peace and serenity in the heart of a wine-producing village, La Celle, in Provence. In a former nunnery from the 18th century and in the main house there are ten bedrooms each named after one of the species growing in the garden, or a famous personality who stayed here in bygone days : Eucalyptus, Blackberry Bush, Chestnut Tree, General de Gaulle, Wisteria, Rolle, Rose Garden. Some of the rooms are in the main house and others are in the Beguinage (each with a small private garden). The ambience and decoration have been created using objects and antique furnishings that Alain Ducasse has collected during his travels all over France. People chosen and trained by Alain Ducasse over a period of several years run the establishment and the kitchen brigade is made up entirely of his former students. Every day they prepare four menus offering simple and special cuisine, using fresh produce from the hotel’s own kitchen garden as well as fare purchased in the local markets. (Please note that the hotel and restaurant are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from mid October to mid-April). Fans of dolce farniente and relaxation can bask around the outdoor heated swimming pool, or go for a picnic armed with a hamper of delicious goodies prepared by the hotel chefs. There are no facilities for children at this little hotel.

For reservations of 4 nights or more if cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival the total amount of the stay will be charged by Chateaux et Hotels. In case of no show, the total amount of the stay will also be charged including all services purchased upon reserving.
