The lady that ran the hotel was very chic, charming and friendly. We had a very splendid evening meal - full of flavour, beautifully presented, and well cooked. Breakfast was stunning - a variety of breads, juice, yogurt and drinks - all served on the terrace in the most charming way. Service was excellent. The grounds and surrounding forest gave a home to many birds - the bird song was wonderful. We saw tree creepers, and goldfinch. Great. We even used the hose to wash the windscreen - courtesy of madam. Lovely. We highly recommend this hotel.

The propietors gave us a very warm and personal welcome and offered attentive service throughout our stay. We dined at the hotel and chose the 'menu de confiance'. This was a real treat from the chef - five courses of excellent fresh ingredients thoughtfully chosen and cooked with imagination and flair.
The breakfast was not the groaning buffet many of us have got used to but a traditional, rather more modest, French affair. However, it was, of its type, absolutely perfect, with fresh orange juice, fine coffee and a delicious range of preserves.
The hotel is very picturesque and has a charming setting, though a little further off the route southbound than we expected.
Didn't Like:
The rooms are small and a little faded, but everything was clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay.”

“We enjoyed the stay as we had previously found it some 39 years ago.
However, our bedroom was in need of refurbishing, bathroom tiles missing & peeling wallpaper”

“The hotel 'majored' in food and it was delightful. Unfortunately it did not have a map of the local area and we got lost on a local walk that turned into a marathon - we had a great day's walking though even though it was a long way. I could have done with a long bed but that's France for you - we own a Guesthouse in GB and have beds that are seven feet long - I'm six foot six tall - and our bed at Le Manoir was six feet long with a footboard - we knew it would be like that so I'm not complaining but you did ask for feedback - Le Manoir is set in a beautiful part of countryside and I would certainly visit again”

It was a lovely building in lovely surroundings. Service was very good.
Didn't Like:
Parts of the building look a little tired especially from the outside. Dinner was ridiculously expensive for waht was a very average meal. THe owners would do better to increase the accomodation costs as this was very reasonable for a comfortable hotel.”
