This hotel has a mininum two night stay at all times.
Located between Brest and Quimper, Logonna-Daoulas is a perfect spot from which to discover the Finistere region. The peninsula offers one of the richest natural and cultural heritage areas - Rosmorduc’s castle, manors, Saint-Monna’s church, the twelve apostles cross, moulin mer, the Bendy’s islands… The exceptional microclimate also creates some rare and unique vegetation, with mimosas and palm trees seen in the local gardens. Located in the heart of Brest’s natural roadstead, the village is located on Logonna-Daoulas’ peninsula. It is almost half way between the main cities of Brest and Quimper. The village has two ports (Pors Beach and Moulin Mer) and many creeks and strands: the ‘Bendy’, the grey island, the castle, ‘Porsisquin, ‘anse du bourg’, Roz cove, the ‘Yelen’… All these places are linked by an 18km (11 miles) coastal path starting a few meters away from the domain. The Domaine de Moulin Mer is set in a quiet park surrounded by verdant gardens and a palm grove, and is located about eleven miles from the coastal pathways. The domain was built in the 1920’s for a mayor of the town - whose family was one of the most powerful in Logonna-Daoulas with extensive local business interests. The mansion is south orientated and slightly away from the major roads. The area has sheltered creeks and a small port nearby. The Domaine has kept its old charm: the floor boards were taken from ancient tall ship decks for their quality and beauty, and a skillful refurbishment has now been completed to make the domaine a comfortable and luxurious place to spend a few days of rest and relaxation. Some of the special rooms include the Rosmorduc suite with two big private rooms and ensuite bathroom. South facing and very spacious, it has a large super king size bed of 160cm x 200cm (63" x 79"). Complete with a private lounge with leather sofas and a fireplace, it is a special place to stay. The Roz suite has two big private rooms with ensuite bathroom and is south-facing. It has twin beds. The Kersanton double has twin beds and a full ensuite bathroom. The Sant Monna Room has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The decor in the rooms is subtle and elegant at the same time, with good quality white linens and comfortable furniture. Breakfast (included in the price of your room) is served in the dining room that faces the palm grove. Dinners ( table d’hôtes style) need to be booked in advance. An extensive menu including a variety of regional and traditional dishes is offered and includes an aperitif, starter, main course, cheeses, desert, wine and coffee for approximately 40 euros pp.
