In the heart of Burgundy where roads to Auxerre, Vezelay and Chablis meet, the Auberge de la Beuraudiere is tucked away. This charming little eleven roomed inn with an excellent restaurant is a wonderful base for exploring the historic and interesting towns and villages in the vicinity--and if wine is your passion, then it would be the perfect base to start a wine tour. The rooms each have a special charm and are uniquely decorated; they all have full bathrooms with either shower or bath, large or twin beds, satellite television and direct dial telephone and unusual antiques. The rooms are all differently named and each has a unique price- this will be confirmed to you at the time of enquiring. Breakfast is served in the old wine cellar and is buffet. The restaurant serves traditional food and is well known locally. The owners of the Auberge are friendly, helpful (and speak English) and will happily give you advice on things to do and see in the area. The spirit of the Auberge is relaxing and warm.

We loved the ambiance, the charm of the hotel and the excellent breakfast and dinner
It's out of the way and there's nothing to do - but it's worth the visit. A trip to Vezelay or en route to Paris make it a good siteDidn't Like:

Delightful hotel unbelievably decorated for Christmas down to real ox and ass in stable! Rooms charming and comfortable. Excellent value in great location for travellers to north or south of France.
Didn't Like:
Restaurant lighting too bright and consequently not very atmospheric. Food OK but not good for France. No proper bar although they found us a room to have a drink.

The atmosphere was rustic but with all the amenities of a top of the line luxury hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was outstanding. We really can't identify anything we didn't like. This accommodation is excellent value for money! The location was perfect for exploring Burgundy vineyards.

What is there not to like about this Auberge? The attention to detail, the smallest detail, is nothing short of fantastic. We were on a three week somewhat frantic drive around and this was the highlight of the holiday. Not only was the welcome marvellous, the whole place looks quirky and interesting and to top it all the food, service and range of wines etc just gets better and better. We will return here for a much monger stay as soon as possible

This is a wonderful place to stay - very friendly manager who spoke good English, comfortable and pretty room, very good evening meal and the best breakfast I have ever had in many trips to France. I wish I had been staying more than one night.

Nice restaurant tho i did have wine spilled over my coat and had to ask before this was cleaned - which it was in the end.

The hotel itself was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful, our room excellent. It was a great shame that our dinner was appalling. Overlooked meat and potatoes were inedible. A great shame. Breakfast the next morning fine.
