The renovated hotel à la Cour d'Alsace has the original wooden-beamed ceilings, half-timbering, and other attractive architectural features. Located in the wonderful Medieval old town of Obernai in Alsace, this former manor house and wine cellar of the distinguished Baron De Gail family, is now a delightful, friendly small hotel. Combining Alsatian tradition with contemporary European style, the rooms have every convenience: spacious bathroom, safe, minibar, and cable TV with programming in various languages, direct dial telephone. For those travelling with a family who need more independence from a hotel room, the Maisonette is a perfect solution. There are three different restaurants at Cour d'Alsace: the gourmet cuisine of the restaurant Le Jardin des Remparts is very highly regarded. A different selection of gourmet dishes is offered each day both for lunch and dinner. Enjoy more casual fare in the wine bar Le Caveau de Gail, a restored vaulted-ceiling wine cellar of the Gail manor house. In the Lucas Bar, a cosy and intimate bar on the north side of the hotel courtyard, you may enjoy a glass of Alsation wine or a beer. A new way to visit Alsace and Obernai is to use the super-fast TGV Est - just 1.5 hours from Paris.
