“Hotel and grounds were very clean. Swimming pool was large, and very clean.Bathrooms were well stocked with amenities and towels. Beautiful quiet location, but yet very close to many sites that we had wanted to visit. Easy to find; well marked signs on the roads. Staff spoke English. Even though I am capable to a certain extent in French, this made our stay so much more relaxed for us, as I wasn't always translating back and forth for my husband. It was a real time-saver having the option to eat breakfast at the hotel, rather than having to go out to find a restaurant. We would have liked to have had a kettle (tea maker) and perhaps a little fridge in the room. Also, it would have been convenient to have a coin operated washing machine available for guests.It was private to be able to enter the hotel where our room was located without always having to go through the main lobby, and in an entrance way that was very close to the parking lot. Domaine de la Rhue was one of the few locations where we stayed in France that takes credit cards, which was wonderful. This totally eliminated the need to have to set out in the car to try to find an ATM machine for cash. This was a huge frustration for us, and wasted valuable time. There was a reading material exchange shelf for guests in the lobby, which we also appreciated, as it contained many books in English. Also, there were bug screens on the windows, which was a really appreciated and sensible feature in the rooms.”

Beautiful peaceful hotel, gorgeous room and friendly staff who washed our clothes for free (we were on a cycling holiday and desperate for this!). Best hotel we stayed in for the money whilst on a touring holiday of the area (we'd stayed in a similar quality hotel which was twice the price and with dreadful service - and where they refused to wash our clothes!). Lovely walk from hotel to Rocamadour. Would love to come back and stay there again and would recommend it to friends.
(Only gripe was the nearest restaurant, which they'd recommended, was miles away so with no car we had to cycle there at night, and arrived to find it was some sort of "theme" place run by men in berets and shorts, full of screaming kids and the food wasn't much to write home about!)”

“accomodations were superb - we were disappointed that the resturant recommendations (we followed thier guidence the first night) were tourist traps and it required great effort on our part to get a recommendation to an outstanding resturant in Martel.”
