The relais is a charming inn housed in a coach-house from the 17th century. A skilfull renovation has been completed and the mansion now provides a delightful place to stay while you explore the heart of Grande Champagne (where the best cognac vineyards are). There are five spacious ensuite guestrooms at the Relais, some with wonderful beamed ceilings, and all with comfortable furniture and private modern bathrooms. There are also four self-catering apartments available: two that will accommodate five persons, one for four persons and one for six. Guests in the apartments may make arrangements to dine at the main house. The apartments are ideal for families. The house is surounded by woods and vineyards and there is a tennis court, heated swimming pool, sauna and fitness centre on the property. The Relais offers several packages, including a gastronomic package, architecture, culture and treasures of Charente packages. At the table d'hôtes, enjoy delicate regional cuisine flavoured with cognac and pineau des Charentes. There is also a fully equipped meeting room for corporate guests.

Family Information

The family suite and apartments are great for children. The hotel has a playground for children as well as pool, ping pong and babysitting service.

Meal Information

The hotel's restaurant serves traditional cuisine on a table d'hote (all guests eat together). A three course meal is offered with wine and cognac included. Breakfast is served each morning from 8 to 11. The hotel is willing to make lunch on a request basis only. Dinner is 40 Euros per person for adults, 23 for teenagers and 12 for children.

Notes

The area of Grande Champagne is wonderful for touring with beautiful countryside and many vineyards to visit.
