One night deposit for reservations of 1 to 3 nights. 30% deposit required for longer stays. Must notify if check-in will be later than 6 pm.
Cot is only 5E per night. Between Bordeaux and Bergerac, the Chateau des Baudry is a residence dating back to the seventeenth century. On the route des vins, near the medieval city of St. Emilion, it is surrounded by 25 hectares of meadows, woods and vineyards and is an idyllic setting from which to explore this fascinating area. There are just five suites in the chateau, all with their own bathroom, with terracotta tile floors, persian rugs, fireplaces (in some rooms), independent entrances on to the garden, and wonderful antiques and art on the walls. Breakfast is served in the Orangerie each morning and dinners feature the fresh produce of the surrounding markets. Gastronomic dishes of the region are served. If you wish, you can dine at individual tables under the palm trees on the terrace besides the lily pond. Dinner is on request (so please advise in advance if you wish to dine at the Chateau). There is a swimming pool in the garden (ideal after a day's walking) and a large year-round flowering garden. At teatime you will be served under the gazebo, shaded by roses and wisteria. Between Bordeaux (80km) and Bergerac (17km), the Chateau des Baudry has a privileged situation on the Wine Route close to the medieval cities of Saint Emilion (38km) and Sarlat (85km), the Dordogne valley “aux mille châteaux” and the prehistoric cave of Lascaux.
Meal Information
The breakfasts will be served to you each morning from 8.30 to 11.00 in the Orangery. You can dine at individual tables under the palm trees on the terrace besides the lily pond. The fresh produce from the vegetable garden and from the surrounding markets are the basis of Helene's cooking. 31Eu approx. (drinks and wine not included). Child menu (under 12 years): between 9 and 18 Euros
Notes Visit the cellars and taste the wines of Bergerac, Duras and St Emilion. Visits can be arranged by the Chateau. Enjoy picking bolets in the woods of the estate where the deer roam early in the morning. There are several long walks along the many paths of the property - request a picnic basket and make a day's excursion. By train: Bordeaux (80 km), Libourne (50 km), Sainte Foy (12 km), Bergerac (19 km), Gardonne (7 km). The pony stables, where “Chestnuthill” ponies are bred and the pastures stretch over many hectares of rolling hills.

Cancellations received at least a month before due arrival date, we will refund the deposit (minus 15 Euros for admin cost). Cancellations received between two weeks and a month prior to arrival date, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. Cancellations received less than two weeks before due arrival date, the deposit will not be refunded.

Everything. Helene & Francois were very welcoming & gracious. We felt completely relaxed as soon as we arrived. Helene's cooking is fantastic - we had only planned to eat there one night and ended eating there every night of our stay. Francois has an obvious paasion for wine which shone through in the wine list which was short but full of fantastic local wines. We will definitely be back!!
