Situated in a calm and beautiful parkland setting, this splendid historic property combines 12th century charm and 19th century elegance. Nine of the luxurious en-suite bedrooms are located in the Château d'Aubeterre and are equipped with telephone and TV. Some of the rooms have their own private balcony with view of garden and lake, others overlook the courtyard. The Château has a comfortable drawing room with bar and an office with internet access and a well-stocked library. In summer, enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool which is open from June to September. For small groups, Le Clos des Tourrelles offers an excellent fixed price Table d'Hôtes menu, based on the regional cuisine of Burgundy. House wines are included with the set meal but there is also a fine wine list featuring Burgundian wines (Please check for restauant closure times). Enjoy an organised trip to the hotel's vineyard which is located close to the Château and where Pinot Noir, Gamay and Chardonnay grapes are grown. Follow this with a visit to the local winery where the grapes are made into Macon Villages, Bourgogne Aligoté and Bourgogne Rouge. Here you can witness the whole wine-making process from the pressing and fermentation in stainless steel vats to the maturation of the wine in oak barrels and finally the wine bottling and labelling process. Finish off your wine experience with a tasting of the Chateau's own wines in the 11th Century wine cellar.
