In the heart of Strasbourg, in a building that was once a cane and umbrella factory, Hôtel Beaucour, with it's five half-timbered buildings dating from the 18th century, looks like a small Alsatian village. Very close to the river and the cathedral, the complex also houses two excellent restaurants: Alsace à Table and Maison Kammerzell. The forty nine rooms, all ensuite, are spacious and interesting, with wood beams and furnished with comfortable traditional furniture (some rooms have four poster beds). There are single, double or twin rooms, some junior suites and a few duplex rooms for four people. The rooms are air conditioned and soundproofed and have internet connection ( Numeris network digital communications system), bathrooms with jacuzzi and hairdryer. This is a relaxing and friendly hotel. There is a parking garage just across the road from the hotel and you can walk to all the interesting attractions within a few minutes. The hotel offers some special weekend packages: for example two nights in a double room with buffet breakfast, one meal at restaurant Alsace à Table (drinks not included) and one dinner at Maison Kammerzell (drinks not included) at 180 euros per person (subject to availability).
Notes Check in is at 14.00; the check-out is at 12.00. It is possible to leave the luggage at the reception. If you arrive late, after 12pm the door is locked. But there is someone at the desk all night long; you just have to ring at the door, the night watch will open right away. Discover the charms of the capital of Europe, visit its museums and go for a sightseeing tour of the old city on a river boat. Climb up to the platform of the Cathedral and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and the surrounding area. Enjoy wonderful Alsatian wines and cuisine.
