This is a delightful nine-room inn in the heart of the medieval city of Uzes, one of our favourite places in Provence (the Saturday morning market is fantastic). In a three hundred year old stone building, a restoration and enhancement has been cleverly completed and it is is a comfortable and friendly small hotel. The rooms are on three floors and the new facilities include an elevator, air conditioning, internet, flat-screen television, telephone, minibars in the rooms, multi-jet showers and hairdryers. There is one big bed in each room and some rooms are large enough to add an extra bed for a child. The restaurant, La Parenthese, serves delicious regional cuisine (dinner is approximtely 35 euros). Breakfast may be taken on the terrace overlooking Uzes and the countryside. There is a garage (but you must reserve in advance) and there are many carparks within a five minutes walk.

Paying 10 E to park in a public open area, the guidebooks all say it is a parking garage. NO hot water in the bathroom sink, only cold! A strange faucet! And a shower which would be very small for a large person. ” Rating: Good
