This location was absolutely stunning, and should be highlighted on your website. It was the most beautiful setting which we did not expect, and the hosts were charming, friendly and had excellent English skills. The owner's son recommended and booked a local restaurant which was fine. The bathroom was modern and efficient with all comforts.

In the Normandie-Orne region, near Camembert, Lisieux, Deaville and just two hours from le Mont St. Michel, is the delightful Le Prieure St. Michel. On a hillside, the priory is a rare Benedictine location that has survived the middle ages. There is a magnificent thirteenth century tithe barn with souring timbered roof, a chapel with barrel vaulted ceiling, and one of the largest timbered cideries built in the fifteenth century. The buildings have been sensitively restored and maintain the tranquillity of the ancient priory and gardens. At this inn there are two beautiful double ensuite guestrooms - Les Lupins and Les Lilas - and two suites that are suitable for two or three persons, all surrounded by the pretty gardens. There are also two lovely self catering guest cottages - The Dairy (suitable for six) and The Bakery (suitable for five). Viviane and Jean-Pierre are wonderful hosts and will help you plan your excursions or activities. Only breakfast is served, but there are restaurants in the vicinity.

Personal service. Quiet location, well presented rooms and beautiful gardens. Able to switch on heating on chilly nights in the room. Good value.

No complaints - breakfast slightly monotonous but this is a minor point.
