PIn the little village of Wierre-Effroy (between Calais and Boulogne sur Mer) is the delightful Alex Factory Hotel. This little hotel is ideally located for the Eurotunnel (if you need a place to stay when arriving or leaving) and is just ten minutes from the coast. In a 19th century manor house, its surrounding farmlands make it a quiet and relaxing place to spend a night. The rooms are uniquely decorated with a pleasing combination of old architecture and modern fittings and all have shower toilet, minibar and satellite television as well as wi-fi throughout. Breakfast only is served here but there are many restaurants within a short drive. There is a sauna here and it is possible to book massage treatments. Guests comment on the friendliness of the owner and the spotless rooms. Excellent guest reviews - highly recommended. Parking and wifi are free for guests. Children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding and children under two may use a free cot. Extra beds for older children or adults are 15 euros/night (only one extra bed or cot in room is permitted).

Notes
Boulogne-sur-Mer is classified as a town of art and history and is a pleasant place to visit. La Côte d'Opale has more than 120 kms of beaches and dunes between Calais and Berck-sur-Mer. The friendly owner will happily recommended some excellent places to dine. We recommend Les Bains de Minuit.
